Description

DF25ATL - Black Electric, 20" Shaft Drive, Remote Steering, Power Tilt and trim.

State-of-the-Art designs make the new DF25A the most technically advanced portable outboard on the market today. This is the world’s first 25 hp outboard motor designed with Lean Burn and Battery-Less Electronic Fuel Injection. The Suzuki EFI system operates Battery-Less, which is an industry first in this horse-power class. The DF25A is a smooth running “Next Generation” four stroke which delivers quick starts, great accelleration, awesome performance and superior fuel economy. Go Lean, Clean and Green, Go Suzuki!

Own The Best – Suzuki DF25A Outboard Wins The Innovation Award at 2014 IBEX Show

Suzuki Motor Corporation’s NEW DF25A four-stroke outboard motor have received the National Marine Manufacturers Association’s (NMMA) 2014 IBEX Innovation Award for outboard motors at the International Boat Builder’s Exhibition & Conference (IBEX).

IBEX Innovation Awards are the best awards in the marine technology, which are given to those new products in the marine industry that demonstrate distinctive technological advancements and deliver practical, cost-effective consumer benefits.

This is the eighth Innovation Award won by Suzuki outboards (of which seven were won by four-stroke outboards), which accredits their high technologies.

Key Features
  • Lightest In Class: Featuring some of Suzuki's best technologies, the DF25A/30A are the lightest outboards available in the 18.4kW (25PS)/22.1kW (30PS) four-stroke outboard class.
  • New Generation Fuel Injection System (battery-less Fuel Injection): A remarkably compact and lightweight fuel injection system is designed to fit into these outboards without adding unneeded bulk or weight. What's more, it operates without a battery and still delivers quicker starts, smoother operation, and more acceleration in all conditions.
  • Suzuki Lean Burn Control System: This intelligent fuel management system predicts fuel needs by monitoring engine performance and operating conditions to deliver a leaner fuel mixture to the engine. The result is remarkable improvements in fuel economy.
  • Direct Intake And Engine Cover Ventilation: A new engine cover design provides the direct intake system with a smoother, cooler flow of air boosting engine operating efficiency. This, together with a newly designed air cleaner allows higher power output from a small displacement.
  • External Air Flow: The rotating flywheel helps reduce temperatures inside the engine cover by venting warm air to the outside from the recoil cover, inner air intake, and engine upper cover.
  • First In Class With Roller Rocker Arms: These are the first outboards in their respective classes to utilize a roller with internal bearings on the cam slipper surface for both the intake and exhaust valves. The roller changes contact between the camshaft and rocker arm from a conventional sliding action to a rolling action reducing friction in rocker arm operation.
  • Offset Crankshaft: Positioning the crankshaft slightly off center of the cylinder reduces lateral pressure against the cylinder wall as the piston moves up and down in the cylinder. The result is smoother piston movement, which improves operating efficiency.
  • Easy Start Recoil: Fuel injection delivers easier starts, but Suzuki goes a step further incorporating a very light recoil starter into these outboards. Requiring less pull strength, the Easy Start Recoil Starter makes starting the outboard quick and easy.
  • Engine Monitoring Led Indicators: The LED monitoring system utilizes three LEDs to keep you informed of current operating conditions. Located in an easily visible position, the LEDs provide easy to understand monitoring at a glance so you can enjoy a pleasurable boating experience.
  • Engine Flush Port: To help protect the engine from damage caused by salt, sand, and dirt that can build up in the engine's cooling system, the outboards are equipped with an easy to access freshwater flush port to make cooling system flushing as easy and convenient as possible.
  • Suzuki's Anti-corrosion Finish: To guard against corrosion, Suzuki protects its outboards with its own specially formulated Suzuki Anti-Corrosion Finish. Applied directly to the outboard's aluminum alloy, this finish provides maximum bonding of the finish to the aluminum surface. Layering an epoxy primer undercoat, black metallic (or white) finish, and clear acrylic fiber finish on top of this forms an effective treatment against corrosion, protecting those parts of the outboard's aluminum alloy that are constantly exposed to saltwater.
Technologies
  • Lean Burn: Suzuki's innovative Lean Burn Control System was first introduced on the DF90A/80A/70A to great acclaim from boaters and the media alike. It predicts fuel needs according to operating conditions allowing the engine to run on a more efficient fuel mixture through the use of a lean air-fuel ratio. It delivers its benefits over a wide operating range, providing significant improvements in fuel economy from low-speed operation into the cruising range. Combining this system with the Suzuki Precision Control electronic throttle and shift system allows the operator precise control over engine RPM for improved fuel economy over a wider operating range. This combination also delivers smooth power transitions throughout the entire RPM range. In-house testing shows that while cruising, the DF300AP is 14% more economical than the original non-Lean Burn DF300 without sacrificing any power of the original DF300.
  • Anti-Corrosion Finish: To guard against corrosion, Suzuki protects its outboards with its own specially formulated Suzuki Anti-Corrosion Finish.
